My Philosophy: To serve others, to remain optimistic in times of disaster, and to strive to become better than I was yesterday.

Darkness settles on roofs and walls even as I hasten toward the town.external image IrishVillage_web.jpg
I was reminded that this on which I dwelt was but dry land

“Accept the place the divine Providence has found for you,
and lie down to pleasant dreams

where a goddess might trail her garments!"

Providence! That’s no great thing!
Accept the place the divince Providence has found for me?

…Isn't a soul in this green world of God's that you can trust,
so you must

Trust thyself!
Every heart vibrates to that iron string.
And I don't count nobody out of that, not nobody

You know,
I prefer to be true to myself,
even at the hazard of incurring
the ridicule of others,
incur my own abhorrence, since
A living dog is better than a dead lion.
I’ll go not, like the quarry-slave at night,
Scourged by his dungeon;
but, sustain'd and soothed
By an unfaltering trust;external image Daybreak_Adks.jpg

whoso would be a man must be a nonconformist

Make your peace with it! All our old pretense is ripped away
I have done what I could.

The morning breaks, the day returns
fit to entertain a travelling god
of equal simplicity about him
Some blunders and absurdities crept in.
He'll say, "I see you all had you a little spill"
Peace! It is Providence, and no great change.
Tomorrow is a new day
begin it well and serenely.

Morning was a cheerful invitation to make my life.

Even when Hell and Heaven grabble at our backs,
Your steadfast love
and tender mercy have been our salvation.

Life is God’s most precious gift
He has his goodness now; I have my goodness now.
God forbid I take it from him, since a good man…person is hard to find.
